Times have been hard and lonely since Kootenai passed away in August and I don’t think I will ever get over his departure. So I didn’t really know when I would be ready but last week decided to adopt a new dog from the SPCA.
Her name is Keyla and she is a 3-year old yellow lab/sharpei mix. She fits wonderfully into my life as she loves to run and ski; lots of energy in her (which means she will never get tired of running after her ball!). She has settled in and other than learning how to heel when excited, she is pretty much up to date on all other commands. No fuzz during the nights, loves to meet other dogs and just enjoys her new life. Feel free to come by if you live in Kelowna and visit her! Pictures here …
