It has been a busy weekend! Two events were crossed off the list, one with slightly more lead time than the other 🙂 First, the 63rd annual Across the Lake Swim went off without a glitch yesterday in great weather with lots of happy faces around! With about a year of preparation, our core team of volunteers worked hard yesterday to put all the planning together and provide an exceptional event for all participants! We sold out at 500 participants, and everybody was safe, received an amazing goody bag, was timed properly and monitored closely while swimming across our lake (2.1km). Woooh – done!

Gorgeous trails and views, nicely organized while maintaining the grassroots feel, lots of great draw prizes (Arcteryx, North Face etc.). I have to say, after the grueling experience at the Scorched Sole, this one was a joy. Loved every minute of it, and am even getting faster running downhill! Results here …
