It has become somewhat of a tradition, our annual trip to Hawaii once the weather turns colder here in Kelowna. We have been mixing it up by visiting different islands, and this year spent a week on Maui before going to Kona for 3 days. It had been 10 years for me since I had been to Maui last! We had a great time, exploring the island from our base near Kahana. Lots of waterfalls, great hikes, nice beaches and plenty of downtime as well. In Kona, we participated again in the Kukio Blue Water Swim, also an annual tradition. A group of 8 people from Kelowna enjoyed the morning together in Uluweuweu Bay. This is a race you can’t beat for setting and food and general effort the organizers put into it. If you are at all into open water swimming, put this on your list 🙂
Please enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think! Aloha!
